Becoming a member of the M2 HC - Lord Zealand
So, You're interested in becoming a part of the M2 HC?
Want to know what _YOU_ need to do for this to happen?

Well, here are a few things that you can do to help yourself out.

1) Know the Game. As a Support, its your JOB to answer questions other's have about the game.
2) Be Active. If you're not around, you having the Title does the rest of us about as much good as, having a car, but not the keys. (i.e. NONE)
3) When there's a question asked, about the game, answer it correctly. If you can't, ask a HC member. IMO, there's no bad questions that you can ask. Unless you are asking it after you've been told the answer..
4) Don't break the rules. This includes begging, using banned language, ect. As HC, it is our job to uphold the rules, not break them.
5) Don't talk about what a great job you would do as a support, or complain about your lack of votes, or tell everyone that you hope you become a support, or any shit like that. Just focus on doing the job of support, and you will be noticed.
6) You must be able to keep your cool, and think clearly. At ALL times.

So. In Review

1) Know the Game
2) Be Active
3) Help out in Chat/Messages where Needed
4) Don't Break the Rules
5) Walk the Walk, don't talk the talk
6) Keep Your cool

Disclaimer: Following these recommendations merely improves your chances of earning a HC title. An HC title is a responsibility, and the HC may not feel you are ready for an HC title when you feel you are. This does not mean you will never become a HC member, merely that it will not occur in the near future. The HC does attempt to give second+ chances, however should you put yourself in a position of needing a second chance, do not expect it to happen right away. Do not expect to receive a second chance. Should you receive a second chance, how far in the future it comes, will be directly correlated to the seriousness of the 'crime' you committed.

Secondary Disclaimer: Once you have become a member of the HC, you are expected to follow these guidelines listed above, as well as actively participating in the M2 HC forums where appropriate.

Finally: This topic is NOT for people to post in. If you have comments, questions, or concerns, make another post. *wonders why that's so flipping difficult to understand*

Can I just note that just because you CAN answer these questions doesn't mean you're good for support. You also have to help out the new guys with this. If you know all this but don't help, you're useless lol.

Something else to consider if you feel you want to step up into the HC.

With the position comes responsibility. You have the chance to guide new users into this game and ensure they get enjoyment out of it.

1.Never answer a question if you are not sure if the information you are giving is correct. let teh person know you will find out and get back to them.

2. If you are successful in entering the HC don't be in a rush to climb up the ranks. If you dothe job well those above you as well as your peers will notice and promotion will follow.

3. Be your own person.

4. If you get teh chance, use a more senior member of teh HC as a mentor. let them guide you. After all, we can always learn something new.
